Idaho Spud Candy Bar

Idaho Candy Company began as a dream for T.O. Smith in his home in 1901. After moving to Boise, he found himself out of work and began making candy and selling them door to door out of shoe boxes. Over 100 years later, the Idaho Candy Company still creates their oldest vintage candy bar, the “Idaho Spud” (1918). The popular bar is a combination of a light cocoa flavored, soft marshmallow center drenched with a dark chocolate coating and then sprinkled with coconut. The potato shape is an ode to Idaho and is still one of the top-selling candy bars in all of the Northwest, U.S.A.
