About Jâca

Jâca (pronounced, ZHĀ-ka) is an international award-winning clarinet and guitar duo that combines classical and world music to bring an adventurous, passionate, and completely original musical style to the stage. Jâca breathes new life into the traditional concert experience, ignoring convention and consistently leaving their audiences buzzing.

“At a Jâca concert you’re not just a bystander, you feel a part of it.”
Humans of Chamber Music

Since 2018, Jâca has delighted audiences in concert halls at arts series and music festivals worldwide, including in North America, South America, and Europe. The press described the duo as being “at the forefront of an exciting new wave of classical chamber music groups” (Sneak Preview, OR) and praises Jâca for “pushing classical music forward” (Culturs: Global Multicultural Magazine).

Dividing their time between the USA, Canada, Spain, and Portugal, this 21st-century duo represents the limitless potential of an interconnected world.

JCEP

The Jâca Cultural Exchange Program (JCEP) is Jâca's successful philanthropic program. For Wesley and Jaxon, it is "Music with Meaning."

With JCEP, the aim is to share the story of culture from one locale to the next and to support underserved musical communities worldwide. Jâca does this by collecting direct contributions, sharing cultural stories and experiences from each stop along their international tours, and by donating 100% of profits from all JCEP cultural item sales, in addition to 10% of all Jâca merchandise.

Each cycle, Jâca spotlights an underprivileged musical community in need of financial support and works with them to determine the best way to disperse JCEP funds. When you contribute to JCEP, you are learning about the people of another culture while helping an underserved community gain better access to the arts.
