Polished Agate from Eastern Montana

Montana was once a shallow inland ocean with huge forests lining its shores and islands of volcanoes spewing forth lava, covering parts of the forest in lava and ash. As the flow of mineral-laden water flowed into the earth, the Montana Agate was born. Only found in gravel deposits near the Yellowstone River in eastern Montana, Agates are a variety of quartz. They are found by locals and then polished.
 
From ancient times to the present, they have been known to have many positive and healing metaphysical properties.
